David Furry, RHI, NCH
I was born in Winona, Ontario (now part of the City of Hamilton) and have lived my entire life in the Niagara Region, Ontario.
After completing post secondary education at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, I worked in sales for several manufacturers and distributors of construction products and materials.
In 2012, My wife brought to my attention an opportunity to purchase a franchise territory from a retiring owner in the home inspection industry. After meeting him, and considering the business, I ended up buying the business and franchise license for the AmeriSpec of Niagara region, and have operated it since that time.
In 2014, we added septic inspection to our service offering, and since then have also added other services relevant to real estate transactions. In 2018, we became a recognized Service Organization with Enbridge, and began offering residential energy assessment services for those clients applying for energy rebates available through Enbridge. We have also been able to offer energy assessment services for those homeowners applying for the Canada Greener Homes grant since the program inception in 2020.
I joined CAHPI in 2018, and became a National Certificate Holder and RHI shortly thereafter, and have enjoyed the membership and educational opportunities available. I look forward to promoting our industry as a professional, recognized, and vital trade in the years to come.
